A deadly crowd surge at rapper Travis Scott’s Astroworld festival in Houston, Texas, has claimed a ninth life.
22 year old University student Bharti Shahani had been attending her first music festival with family members when she was critically injured, dying in hospital nearly a week later.
The victims were all between the ages of 14 and 27.
Hundreds of other concert-goers were injured in the crush.
One nine-year-old boy remains in a medically induced coma due to severe brain and organ trauma, according to a fundraiser set up by his father.
Local authorities are still investigating the incident.
Scott, fellow performer Drake, and Astroworld’s organisers are now facing a number of lawsuits.
