Over the next 12 months, a $74.6 million initiative will be implemented in the Norwood area of St James and Denham Town in Kingston, as part of ongoing efforts to reduce crime and violence in communities.

The Saving Lives Entity (SALIENT) Joint Programme, a pilot effort, intends to remove the mechanisms that allow for the illicit trafficking of firearms and ammunition into the country, as well as address the fundamental cause of violence.
