The Government has allocated 126 million dollars to vulnerable Jamaicans following the Prime Minister’s announcement of the weekend lockdowns beginning this week.

Finance Minister Dr Nigel Clarke announced in Parliament this afternoon that each constituency will receive 2 million dollars towards this effort.

The money will be disbursed through the Constituency Development Fund on April 1.

Clarke said the Government had to be flexible in managing the COVID-19 pandemic following an increase of the risks in the budgeting and fiscal forecasting process.
