Reggae artist Skip Marley has been forced to cancel and reschedule his Toronto show, due to unforeseen circumstances.

According to reports, it appears Canadian border officials refused him entry into the country and presented him with documents to return to the United States.

The ‘Slow Down’ singer posted a video to his Twitter account yesterday (Tues), apologizing and promising to reschedule at TOYBOX Nightclub in King West.

Alongside his message, Marley shared a photo of the documents presented to him by agents stating he must return to the United States after attempting to cross the border at the Peace Bridge in Fort Erie.

While the document did not speak to Skip’s vaccination status, it suggested that he was denied entry because of an “order or regulation made by the Governor in Council under the Emergencies Act or Quarantine Act.”

Under a Quarantine Order, Canada currently requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination for foreign nationals entering the country.

This Toronto stop is the second and only Canadian date at Marley’s “Change” North American tour itinerary which only started three days ago.
