International dancehall star Sean Paul is experiencing unbridled joy after it was announced that he will be conferred with the Order of Distinction by the Government of Jamaica.

The Get Busy artiste is being recognized for his contribution to the global popularity and promotion of reggae music.

He will receive the honour on Heroes Day.

Sean Paul in release said this is a real accomplishment for him as, over the years, he has watched the ceremony and admired those who have been awarded.

Meanwhile according to the release, Paul has put touring on hold for now, as he awaits the birth of his second child, noting that he will resume in late November.

However, parenthood will not stop the release of new material for the artiste.

He is set to release a single and video soon called “When it Comes” produced by Island Records.

The Grammy winning deejay has also recently completed a collaboration with producer Ainsley “Notnice” Morris on the producer’s album King Midas. Other releases to be expected include a single with Delly Ranks, as well as the highly anticipated video for the single “Life We Living” which features Squash.
