The fountain at Sam Sharpe Square and the surrounding regions will receive a multimillion dollar facelift as part of the activities being held in St. James to celebrate Jamaica’s 60th anniversary of Independence.
The total cost of the process will be an estimated $21 million, according to Gerald Lee, chief executive officer of the St. James Municipal Corporation.
Work began recently and is expected to end in July.
