Prime Minister Andrew Holness says there are concerns relating to sexual abuse of children and other deviant behaviour among children while they are out of school.
His comments come as he says that the government cannot continue to keep children at home, as a solution to the pandemic.
In the meantime, he says the Government is seeking to return all students to school by January next year.
Mr Holness says people should not allow the pandemic to permanently disrupt their way of life. He continues to encourage parents to ensure their children are vaccinated.
