Voting for the first round of the 2022 Grammy Awards is officially closed.

The process that began last Friday, and ended yesterday (Fri), will determine the nominees for the prestigious awards.

Of all the Reggae and Dancehall albums released within the Grammy eligibility period from September 1, 2020, through September 30, 2021, only five albums will make the nomination list which will be announced on Tuesday, November 23.

Some industry players and entertainers who have shared via social media that their album is up for Grammy consideration are Gramps Morgan, Maxi Priest, Ziggy Marley, Spice, Chino McGregor, and Producer Black Sheep.

Minister of Entertainment and Culture Olivia Grange also shares the Jamaica Festival Song Album is up for Grammy consideration. This means that they are among the entries being considered for a Grammy Award.

The 64th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on January 31, 2022, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
