Before his tragic passing, DMX was getting ready to unleash his eighth studio album.

The rap icon discussed the project excitedly on ‘Drink Champs’ and said it contained collaborations with Pop Smoke and more.

In the weeks after X’s death, more details about the upcoming record have emerged, the latest coming from his good friend Snoop Dogg.

Hitting up Hot 97 for an interview today, Snoop revealed that X recorded the entire project at his Los Angeles studio after the pair wrapped up their epic Verzuz battle.

Snoop said the pair also bonded over his vintage car collection and a shared love of old-school music.
