Rapper Cardi B’s breakout hit “Bodak Yellow” has been certified 9x-Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
The single is the highest certified single by a female rapper, and beats the record which was previously held by “Super Bass” done by Nicki Minaj.
“Fefe”, Cardi’s collaboration with 6ix9ine, recently crossed the 8 million sold mark as well.
“Bodak Yellow” is on pace to make Cardi B the first solo female rapper to earn a Diamond Single Award.
The entertainer’s “I Like It” with Bad Bunny and J Balvin is also likely to go Diamond in the future. That single is currently certified 7x-Platinum.
