The Child Protection and Family Services Agency, CPFSA, is investigating a suspected case of child abuse in St. Catherine, involving a three-year-old boy.
The CPFSA in a statement said the matter was brought to its attention via a social media post on Sunday.
It said the post, being circulated, features an image of a little boy with a bandage on his face.
It added that the image, accompanied by concerns from the child’s father, led to an investigation.
The CPFSA said the boy was allegedly injured during a domestic dispute between his mother and stepfather on Sunday.
The Agency says the family has been located and interviews have been conducted with both parents, and intervention initiated to serve the best interest of the child.
