Members of the public are being advised that the list of persons that are allowed to traverse to and from work during the no-movement period has been updated.
The following persons have been added:
1. The Director of Public Prosecutions
2. The Director of Legal Reform
3. The Director-General of the Planning Institute of Jamaica
The Police also wish to clarify that a person who needs urgent medical care or medical supplies may leave home to obtain such medical care or medical supplies.
A person who travels with such a person for the purpose of rendering assistance is also be exempt.
The Police are reminding all persons who fall in the exempt categories to ensure that they have proper identification, and where necessary, authorization letters, to establish the legitimacy of their claim when stopped by the Police.
