Several hospitals across the island received a boost in their oxygen supplies this morning.
This following the arrival of bulk oxygen in the country, as the health sector, has been grappling with low amounts for the treatment of covid-19 patients.
Meanwhile, Director of the Southern Regional Health Authority, Michael Bent, says hospitals in the region, have already received additional supplies of oxygen cylinders.
He notes, however, that due to the high demand for oxygen, the supply will only last a few hours.
Meantime, Mr. Bent says, the Mandeville Regional Hospital continues to receive patients beyond its capacity. He explains that most of these patients have Covid-19.
