The Opposition is calling on the government to immediately reach out to the United States and Canada, for emergency supplies of oxygen.
This as Jamaica’s sole medical oxygen supplier IGL, is experiencing challenges in meeting the demand from hospitals due to the high number of Covid-19 patients.
Opposition Spokesman on Health Dr. Morais Guy, said the oxygen supply has run low in many hospitals.
He said without emergency supplies, more patients could die and therefore Jamaica must seek assistance.
