The Ministry of Health and Wellness has begun tracing passengers who were aboard a flight from Miami to Montego Bay, with the second person diagnosed with an imported case of the coronavirus, COVID-19.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness made a call for passengers who were aboard flight AA 1515 on March 7, to contact the hotline established by the Ministry. 888-ONE-LOVE (663-5683)

Speaking at a press conference today (Thurs), he said the government had received the confirmed details for the second patient and has been contacting persons who travelled on the March 7 flight.

The Prime Minister urged persons who were on the flight to reach out to the Health Ministry.

Mr. Holness noted that a call centre has been contracted by the government to respond to the high volume of calls being received on the COVID-19 hotline.

He urged persons not to go to health centres if they feel ill, but to contact the Ministry as to how to proceed.
