The Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM has launched an investigating into a fatal police shooting in St. James. Two people were killed and a third person in hospital.
The incident reportedly took place around 2pm yesterday, in an area of Granville, known as Mud Valley.
Preliminary reports from the St. James Police are that two men were shot and killed and a third man wounded in a confrontation with the lawmen who were carrying out an operation in the community.
Its alleged that the lawmen came under heavy gunfire which they returned.
Head of the St. James Police, Superintendent Vernon Ellis says several firearms were recovered during the incident.
