The “Kiss Me Thru the Phone” rapper, in his latest assertion, claims that he is the reason why the United States government is looking to ban social media app Tiktok.

Yesterday (March 13), the 33-year-old entertainer took to his Instagram stories to make his claims.

He posted a screenshot of what he earned in a day on TikTok, a whopping $32,183.77, with the caption, “I made 32k in one day this why they tryna ban TikTok.”

On Wednesday, the House of Representatives passed a bill that could possibly lead to the banning of Tiktok in the United States.

ByteDance, the parent company of Tiktok, has been accused of being under the influence of the Chinese government and has been ordered to sell its controlling stake in the app. Failure to comply will result in a ban in America.

ByteDance denies the claims and says it protects the data of its users and that the app is free from manipulation.

Shou Zi Chew, chief executive of TikTok, says that passing the bill could result in thousands of people being jobless and that power would be handed over to other social media companies such as X (formerly Twitter) and Meta.

United States President Joe Biden said that he will sign the bill if it reaches his desk; however, the bill must pass through the Senate first.
