Linval Thompson, more popularly known as famed music producer Shab Don, is to stand trial on November 28, 2022, for breaching the Corruption Prevention Act.
He was to appear in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Tuesday to answer to bribery charges, after it was alleged that he offered a policeman $2 million to remove an illegal firearm from his vehicle before it was searched.
He was also charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition for the same incident. He was subsequently freed of those charges in April.
He was however not present in court on Tuesday. His Attorney Donahue Martin, in a statement said that he was currently in custody in relation to the shooting deaths of three persons in St. James.
He is to return to the St. James Parish Court on July 26 to answer to those charges.
