A day after a U.S. reunion tour for Lauryn Hill and the Fugees was canceled and tickets refunded without immediate explanation, the singer issued a statement late Wednesday giving her reasons for the outing being called off, attributing it to low ticket sales.

Hill believes she knows why sales were suffering: because of what she calls “clickbait headlines” after she previously canceled the final stretch of a tour last fall.

In Hill’s view, the “sensationalizing” of the canceled dates in late 2023 created a climate in which fans were reluctant to buy tickets for the 2024 tour, which was to have begun this Friday.

Notably, Hill also said that the European dates she and the Fugees have scheduled for October will go on as scheduled, suggesting that fans’ hunger to see these reunion shows overseas has continued unabated.

Dancehall Star Vybz Kartel has announced that his first show will be held in December. He however did not give additional details.

He made the revelation during Attorney at law Isat Buchanan’s Context Matters program on social media live this afternoon.

Kartel who has been incarcerated for some 13 years for the 2011 murder of Clive Williams, was released on July 31. Since then, fans of the deejay have been bombarding the entertainer’s social media pages asking when will he able to return to the stage.

During the program, Kartel reminded his supporters that at the moment, he’s focusing on his health and his family.

Currently, he’s battling graves disease and a heart condition. Meantime, Dancehall Artiste Tommy Lee Sparta has welcomed the news of Kartel’s return. The Zee spoke with him following his performance at Dream Weekend’s “World Vibes” party.
