Country and pop singer Taylor Swift doesn’t just have Grammys to her name, she also has a new species of Millipede.
A newly discovered species of millipede was named after Swift by lead study author Derek Hennen, who is a self-proclaimed Swiftie and wanted to honour the singer. The species is called Nannaria Swiftae — or vernacularly, the Swift Twisted-Claw Millipede.
“Her music has gotten me through tough times, and it’s kind of a nice little thank you I can give for the joy her music has brought me,” Hennen said.

Hennen found the Appalachian millipede in Fall Creek Falls State Park in Spencer Tennessee — a state that also marks the beginnings of Swift’s career.
