It’s time!

It is that time of the year when songstress Mariah Carey gets sued AGAIN for her Christmas song “All I Want for Christmas Is You”.

Another year, another 20-million-dollar lawsuit from musician Andy Stone, lead vocalist of Vince Vance and the Valiants.

According to Stone, the “Butterfly” singer infringed on the copyright of his song, also named “All I Want for Christmas Is You” in 1989.

Carey released her song “All I Want for Christmas Is You” in 1994, and the song has dominated Christmas ever since. The track topped the Billboard Hot 100 and earned an RIAA Diamond certification for having sold over 10 million copies. It is the only Christmas song to have achieved this extraordinary achievement.

Last year, Stone filed a similar lawsuit for 20 million, but the case was dismissed in the New Orleans Federal Court.

Mariah Carey seems unbothered though, as yesterday (Nov. 1) she dropped a video on Instagram of herself being defrosted from her icy slumber, just in time for the holidays. The caption reads, “It’s… TIME!!! #MariahSZN”
