Renowned sprint coach Glen Mills was honored at the People Profile Awards Ceremony held at the Faith Center in Sunrise, Fort Lauderdale on Sunday.
Mills who guided Usain Bolt to eight Olympic gold medals including two individual world records over the 100 and the 200 meters, was honoured with the keys to Broward County and a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Mills, a recipient of the Order of Jamaica, also shaped the careers of 2011 world 100 metre champion Yohan Blake, Olympic bronze medallist Warren Weir former World Champion Kim Collins, Daniel Bailey and Aileen Bailey among others.
He joins a distinguished list of winners that includes former Olympic 200 metre champion Veronica Campbell-Brown and Miami Heat all-star guard Dwyane Wayde.
