The estate of The Notorious B.I.G. has released the rapper’s first posthumous track in 17 years.
This new re-worked track, which dropped a day before Biggie would have turned 50 on May 20, features Biggie trading verses with Ty Dolla $ign, while Nigerian singer Bella Alubo provides the hook.
During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Ty said, “Being on a song with Biggie has been a dream of mine since I was a kid, the song title is fitting of him…the G.O.A.T. Happy Birthday, Big. We miss you”.
In honour of his 50th birthday, the Empire State Building will be lit up red and white, with a rotating crown and the number 50 in the mast. In addition to that, Lil Kim will host the 2nd annual Biggie Dinner Gala with performances from Lil Cease, Faith Evans, Fabolous, and Biggie’s son CJ Wallace.
