Verse Simmonds, producer, artiste and ex-boyfriend of Jada Kingdom, posted an interesting video following the assumed end of the Stefflon Don and Twinkle musical clash.
In Stefflon Don’s diss track titled Dead Gyal Walking, the British-Jamaican artiste made reference to Verse by stating, “Jada, you a traitor yuh guh marry Verse Simmonds jus fi yuh papers.”.
Though Simmonds’ Instagram post did not directly address the clash, fans are speculating that the clash is what inspired the Tiktok video.
In the video, Verse is seen walking across the screen; he pauses, takes a look at his phone, shakes his head, then walks off. The video is captioned: “POV: scrolling on the internet and you see people being messy.”.
The video also promotes his new song, Chit Chat, as the ending has the line, “Chit Chat, we nuh respond to that.”
“Chit Chat,” which has a very Jamaican dancehall feel, was released last Friday, and the official music video was dropped on Wednesday (January 10).
Jada Kingdom and Verse were an item in 2019, but they were rumoured to have broken up in 2021 when Jada covered his name tattooed on her neck.
