New footage of DaBaby’s 2018 fatal Walmart shooting has surfaced.
Rolling Stone shared never-before-seen surveillance video of the rapper’s encounter with two men at a Charlotte-area Walmart, which lead to the shooting death of 19-year-old Jaylin Craig.
DaBaby at the time claimed that he was acting in self-defence, but the Rolling Stone footage now contradicts his version of events.
DaBaby said he was approached by the men who allegedly threatened him and brandished a gun while he was shopping with his then-girlfriend Mariah Osborne and their two young children. DaBaby claimed he fired his own gun to protect himself and his family.
DaBaby was charged and convicted of carrying a concealed weapon and sentenced to 12 months probation with a suspended jail sentence. The case was closed in June 2019
