Bounty Killer urges artiste to stop singing “foolishness”

Dancehall artiste, Bounty Killer is urging Jamaican artistes to make music for the global masses.

In an Instagram post yesterday (February 28), the “five-star general” praised YG Marley for his hit single “Praise Jah in the Monlight,” which was released last December.

Bounty Killer, whose given name is Rodney Price, said via an Instagram post, “Who and who did said Reggae dead…watch a little youth came with a wild fire Reggae song that’s storming through every charts worldwide a child shall lead the way so my fellow young Jamaicans stop singing the [foolishness] and sing world language we have the biggest music @ygmarley @romarley @mslaurynhill Salute”.

The song has been making strides on the Billboard charts and currently sits at number 39 on the Hot 100 charts after debuting at number 74. It also has over 19 million views on YouTube. According to Billboard, YG Marley is the 6th member of the famous Marley Family to chart a song on the Hot 100.
