The Minister of Tourism wants the annual Jamaica Rum Festival to be staged in Montego Bay going forward. That’s according to J.Wray and Nephew’s Brand Manager Telicia Lindo-Johnson.

The two-day festival held last Saturday and Sunday, received overwhelming support from patrons both locally and overseas.

Minister Bartlett noted that the festival has become a signature event in Jamaica and needs to be marketed to the world.

While speaking with the Zee at the event, Mrs. Lindo-Johnson notes that while nothing has been finalised, a new venue is being considered, due to the festival’s rapid growth.

Jamaica Rum Festival is supported by the the Ministry of Tourism, Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF), Tourism Linkages Network (TLN) and the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB).
