21 Savage had announced a biographical film earlier this week, starring Donald Glover and Caleb McLaughlin, called American Dream: The 21 Savage Story.

He’s now announced that his new album, American Dream, is out this Friday, January 12.

The album artwork features a childhood photo of the artist. Text from an immigrant visa appears over the image. 21 Savage was born in London, but raised in Atlanta from the age of seven. Until last year, he couldn’t even drive or fly in America due to a lack of an official government ID.

In October, 21 Savage announced that he had become a permanent U.S. resident and could begin to travel internationally for the first time in his career.

21 Savage last released a solo studio album in 2018 with I Am > I Was. Since then, he’s shared Savage Mode 2 (with Metro Boomin) and Her Loss (with Drake).
