There’s a Trough across Jamaica.

The Met Office says this Trough is expected to remain across Jamaica over the next few days.

Additionally, expect windy conditions especially across southern parishes through to Wednesday due to the presence of the Low-Level Jet Stream.

A Low-Level Jet Stream is a narrow band of fast flowing wind in the lower levels of the atmosphere.

This morning will see showers and isolated thunderstorms across eastern and sections of south-central parishes.

This afternoon expect mostly cloudy conditions with showers and thunderstorms across sections of most parishes.

Tonight will see lingering showers and thunderstorms across eastern parishes.

A Small Craft Warning is in effect for inshore and offshore areas of the north and south coasts due to strong winds and rough seas, especially in the vicinity of thundershowers.

Maximum temperature expected for Kingston today is 31 degrees Celsius, Montego Bay 32 degrees Celsius.
