The Met Office says this Trough is expected to remain across the island for the next few days. On Thursday, a Tropical Wave is then expected to move across Jamaica.

This afternoon expect scattered showers and thunderstorms across most parishes.
Tonight will see lingering showers especially across northeastern parishes
A Small Craft Warning is now in effect for inshore and offshore areas of the north and south coasts due to strong winds and rough seas in the vicinity of thundershowers.
