Young Thug to Headline Les Ardentes

Share

American rapper Young Thug has confirmed his first live performance since his release from jail, headlining Les Ardentes (pronounced Lez Ardant) festival in Belgium on July 5.
Despite the announcement, the “Best Friend” rapper has yet to schedule any U.S. shows, even though his plea deal requires him to host four charity performances annually. His absence from the spotlight may be linked to an ongoing legal dispute with AEG (Anschutz Entertainment Group).
AEG alleges that Thug took a $5.25 million loan in 2017 and failed to repay it, which led to their acquiring the rights to his publishing and concert promotions.
In 2022, they sued him for nearly $6 million, accusing him of violating their agreement by booking unauthorised performances.
This will be his first concert since his 2022 arrest.
