Ye Stirs Controversy Again

Share

Rap mogul Kanye West is back in the headlines after a controversial sit-down with Akademiks, where he unleashed a series of rants against some of hip-hop’s biggest names.
During the nearly hour-long interview, Ye took aim at JAY-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, and Frank Ocean, while also criticising former collaborators like Pusha T, Playboi Carti, and Ty Dolla $ign.
The “Jesus Walks” rapper also didn’t hold back on his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, questioning their custody arrangement: “How is it joint custody when her family controls my Black kids?”
West then stated that though he did not want to have children with Kim, after being together for only two months, it was clearly “God’s plans”.
Ye defended Diddy and R. Kelly, accusing the media of setting them up. “They pulled out an old video of Puff, and suddenly he’s the villain. Meanwhile, I don’t know a man who hasn’t had an argument with his girl.”
Surprisingly, he showed support for long-time rival Drake in his feud with Kendrick Lamar, claiming, “Drake is a million times better.” He also accused Travis Scott of removing his contributions from Utopia without warning.
As always, Kanye’s words sparked backlash, but he remains as outspoken as ever—airing his grievances, one interview at a time.
