WWE Faces New Class Action Lawsuit Over ESPN Deal

Share

WWE is facing another court challenge in the form of a class action lawsuit, connected to its high-profile streaming partnership with ESPN.

The lawsuit, first reported by Sports Illustrated, focuses on how WWE marketed its premium live events to ESPN subscribers ahead of the expansion of the companies’ streaming agreement.

The legal dispute stems from the September 2025 launch of Wrestle-palooza, a newly introduced premium live event, that marked the beginning of WWE’s ESPN-era programming.

The event was promoted as a major, top-tier show featuring prominent WWE stars. According to the lawsuit, existing ESPN subscribers were led to believe that WWE premium live events would be included with their current ESPN subscriptions, but later discovered that access required additional payment, prompting claims of misleading marketing practices.
