He's identified as Akeem Dunbar, also known as "World Dawg" and "Facebook Hero."
Dunbar is reportedly receiving treatment in hospital.
Another man was shot dead during the incident. He has not yet been identified.
Meanwhile several social media Users have taken to various platforms to discuss the situation while offering prayers and support.
Dunbar left Jamaica for Florida recently, after attending a birthday party for fellow TikToker Swiss Lee at the weekend, with numerous other social media personalities.
Swiss broke his silence with a social media post, wishing World Dawg a speedy recovery, while mourning the loss of the now deceased man.
