The Supreme Court is to hear applications brought by some employees of pharmaceutical company CARIMED and investment company AIC Jamaica, who are challenging the enforcement of COVID vaccine policies at their workplaces.

Claims were filed on Tuesday by the employees, contending that the policies breached their constitutional rights.

They are seeking orders from the court to halt the implementation of the policies, until their cases are heard.

A date is to be set for the hearing of the applications, for restraining orders.

The employees contend that they are not against vaccination.

The CARIMED policy requires employees to prove proof of vaccination, or present a negative COVID-19 test result, twice per month.
