A Florida woman has been arrested after shots were fired outside the Los Angeles home of Rihanna while the singer was inside.
Police have identified the suspect as 35-year-old Ivana Lisette Ortiz, who is now facing an attempted murder charge. Bail has been set at more than 10 million dollars.
Investigators say the gunfire came from a car parked across the street from Rihanna’s Beverly Glen mansion. Multiple rounds struck the exterior of the home and a vehicle parked outside, but none entered the house and no one was injured.
Authorities say the weapon used was an AR-style rifle. Ortiz was later tracked by LAPD after a helicopter followed her Tesla into a mall parking garage, where officers pulled her over and detained her.
Police are still trying to determine a motive and whether the suspect knew the home belonged to Rihanna, who shares three children with rapper A$AP Rocky. It’s unclear if Rocky or the children were home at the time.
