WHITE HOUSE COMMUNITY IN WESTMORELAND CELEBRATING RETURN OF FISHERMEN WHO WERE LOST AT SEA

Members of the White House community in Westmoreland are celebrating the return of seven fishermen from the area who were lost at sea for nearly a week.

The men were found by a rescue team from the community and have been met by jubilant families and friends at the White House fishing village.

The group which includes Captain Wilton Swaby, Aldaine Blair, Everet Blair, Dane Wright, Ricardo Samuels, Clive Tomlinson and Patrick Gooden are said to be in good health.

The fishermen went missing after leaving on a fishing expedition to Pedro Banks last Friday.

Relatives and friends became concerned when the failed to return on Monday morning and had deployed boats in search of them.

One of the rescued fishermen Aldaine Blair said they encountered engine trouble on Sunday and began drifting.
