Danielle Spencer, best known for her role as Dee Thomas on the ’70s sitcom What’s Happening!!, has died at 60 after a long battle with cancer.
Her co-star Haywood Nelson announced her passing, praising her as a brilliant actress, veterinarian, and cancer survivor.
Spencer died in a Virginia hospital after battling breast cancer and a brain bleed in recent years.
Spencer also appeared on Days of Our Lives and in As Good As It Gets.
Her death follows after the deaths of some of entertainment's stars, most recently Ozzy Osbourne and former "The Cosby Show" star Malcolm-Jamal Warner.
