Shamarh Brooks struck his maiden Test century and spinner Rahkeem Cornwall completed a 10-wicket match haul as West Indies moved to the brink of victory over Afghanistan.

Brooks, batting at four in his third Test, struck 111 off 214 balls to help West Indies reach 277 in their first innings and earn a lead of 90 over their opponents in the one-off Test at Lucknow.

Afghanistan then collapsed to 109-7 in their second innings before stumps – a lead of just 19 runs – as Cornwall followed up figures of 7-75 with 3-41.
