Talk show host Wendy Williams announced this morning via the show’s Instagram page that she will not be returning anytime soon.
The lengthy statement read, “As everyone knows, my health has been a hot topic. I’m making progress but it’s just one of those things that’s taking longer than we expected. I’m a woman of a certain age, and I know enough to listen to my doctors”. She continued by saying, “I want to thank all of my staff and our guest hosts for stepping up and stepping in while I can’t be there. Most of all, I want to thank my fans. I have heard your prayers and comments and feel all the love! You are everything to me. but right now Wendy has to focus on Wendy. I love you for watching”.
Wendy, who is still recovering from health issues, has had guest hosts filling in for her during her absence, which includes Michael Rapaport, Bill Bellamy and Sherrie Shepherd.
The star was due to return to U.S. screens on October 4th but, according to a statement posted on the talk show’s Instagram page, Williams “continues to be under a doctor’s care and is still not ready to return to work.
