American rapper Wale is claiming once again that he is a G.O.A.T.

Yesterday the D.C rapper took to Twitter yet again to declare himself as one of the greatest rappers of all time, he said, “When I say I’m one of the greatest rappers of all time. I mean it with all my heart. I’ve put out more QUALITY music than most. My deep cuts are crazy. My singles all got plaques. Decade plus. THAT is why I’m heavy on the gratitude.”

Of course, Wale’s post set off a wave of mixed reaction, while some fans agreed with him, others argued that true G.O.A.T status is not self-proclaimed.

Over on The ShadeRoom’s Instagram page, one person wrote, “I will never understand why people call themselves the greatest of all time, Isn’t that for the fans to declare?” another wrote, “When you’re great u don’t have to say it, others will”.

Make no mistake, Wale stood his ground and defended his statement to his critics, “Literally every great artist tells u. Literally. They want me dim my light so bad. I can’t tho”.

Wale first declared himself the greatest of all time back in 2019 when a list of top 50 rappers went viral and Wale argued that he deserved a spot in the rankings.
