Where are these rumours about Dancehall artist Vybz Kartel coming from?
On Monday, the lawyer of the incarcerated deejay, Valerie Neita Robertson, denied rumors that Vybz Kartel has been admitted to the hospital. Instead, she said the artiste visited the facility for treatment for an undisclosed condition and he has since been released.
It is not the first time rumours of Kartel’s ill-health have been circulated on the internet. In the past, Kartel was alleged to be suffering from a kidney infection, another time he was allegedly poisoned while in prison.
Vybz Kartel was recently hailed as ‘the King of Dancehall, in a Fox 5 New York’s feature, aired on the network, noting his rise and achievements in recent times, including how he has been able to remain a force in Dancehall despite being behind bars.
Vybz Kartel is currently serving a life sentence for the murder of ‘Clive Lizard Williams’. He’s awaiting a verdict on his appeal case.
