Vybz Kartel’s Adidjah Palmer Foundation Brings Aid to Western Jamaica

Vybz Kartel, with his charity the Adidjah Palmer foundation, is today in St James, one of parishes heavily impacted by the passage of hurricane Melissa. While in the area delivering much-needed aid, he made a stopover at the World Central Kitchen temporary headquarters at the Montego Bay Convention Center.

In a video posted by Jamaican media, Vybz Kartel can be seen given a tour of the temporary facilities by a team lead, who describes the feeding project’s progress as into day 5.

The Adidjah Palmer foundation is currently exploring plans to build a facility of mental wellness for Jamaicans impacted by hurricane Melissa. Vybz Kartel Tells us more:

This after a series of posts from the artiste pledging his support after expressing his horror at the devastation caused by the category 5 hurricane. The artiste is fresh off a record-breaking 3-day show at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, alonsgide Canadian rapper Drake and dancehall star Spice. He rushed home after the news of Hurricane Melissa, with posts assuring Jamaica that he was “coming home soon”.
