Dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel shared how he recorded his hit single "Fever" and several other tracks while incarcerated.
The "Summer Time" artiste had a chit-chat with Peter Rosenberg on the Juan Ep Is Life podcast, explaining how he managed to get some of his singles recorded from behind bars.
According to Kartel, the process involved dodging correctional officers, using a few Apple devices, headphones, and mattress.
Despite several raids, Kartel wasn’t deterred. He credited Linton ‘TJ’ White and Mario ‘Dunw3ll’ Dunwell for helping with Fever's success.
Fever recently surpassed the 100 million plays mark on Spotify.
