The 43rd Anniversary of the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA), powered by Martin’s International, officially revealed its Best of 2025 nominees during a press conference on Thursday in Kingston.
The event combined celebration with service, highlighting IRAWMA’s continued mission of “Bringing Nations Together Through Music and Culture” under the 2026 theme: “JAMAICA RISE.”
Martin’s International Foundation presented a donation of One Million Dollars, to CEO of Black River Hospital Mrs. Diana Brown-Miller, to assist with rebuilding rebuilding efforts following the devastation of Hurricane Melissa.
Meantime, some 40 categories were announced, of which Vybz Kartel lead the way with 11 nominations, followed by Sean Paul with 8 nominations.
Burning Spear , Wayne Armond, VP Records' Howard Chung, Promotor/Producer George Crooks are among those who will receive lifetime achievement awards. Meantime, Burning Spear will also be awarded the Master of World Music.
The 43rd Annual IRAWMA Awards Ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Lauderhill Performing Arts Center, Florida
