Dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel is set to make his grand return to the stage this New Year’s Eve at the National Stadium with his highly anticipated "Freedom Street" concert.
The “Fever” artiste took to Instagram yesterday (August 26) to make the big announcement, stating, “Freedom Street is not just a return—it’s a statement.” He added, “I’ve been waiting for this moment as much as you have, and trust me, it’s going to be epic. The love and support over the years have been overwhelming, and now it’s time to celebrate together. See you on December 31st.”
Tickets for the concert, which promises to be a monumental event, will go on sale on August 31 at 3 am, with different sections available including Grand Stand, Bleachers, In-Field, and Centre Stage.
Producer and artiste manager Skatta Burrell also shared his excitement on social media, proclaiming that the event will be electrifying and one for the Dancehall history books.
But with the buzz and anticipation around the concert, fake Instagram accounts are popping up, claiming to be official pages for the concert and selling tickets. Downsound Entertainment quickly responded, warning fans to avoid these scams. They posted, "DON'T BE SCAMMED!!!! All official info will be shared on @vybzkartel, @downsound_entertainment, @downsound_records, and @tjrecords. Any other pages are NOT legit. Don’t Get Scammed!"
