Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel is giving thanks as his iconic 2009 collaboration "Pon De Floor" with Major Lazer and Afrojack earns an official BPI Silver certification in the United Kingdom.
Recognized on October 23, 2026, for crossing 200,000 combined sales and streams, the milestone highlights the timeless global reach of the dancehall heavyweight.
Kartel took to social media with a message of gratitude, crediting raw talent and an unwavering fanbase rather than major record label backing for his continued international success.
The legendary track, famously sampled by Beyoncé on her 2011 hit "Run the World (Girls)," joins Kartel's growing collection of UK plaques alongside "Fever" and "Summertime."
