Venus Williams has received a new honor off the court, this time in the form of a Barbie.
Mattel announced the launch of a Venus Williams doll, as part of its Inspiring Women series, designed to celebrate her historic 2007 Wimbledon victory and her groundbreaking fight for gender equality in sports.
This is not the first time the brand has recognized Williams.
In May 2024, she was included in Barbie’s 65th anniversary collection. However, this latest release carries deeper significance, underscoring her role as a trailblazer, who helped secure equal prize money, for women competing at the highest levels of tennis.
