After Masicka packed Brooklyn’s Barclays Centre, Vanessa Bling is asking the obvious question: when do the women get their turn?
The Dancehall star floated the idea of an all-female Barclays showcase, saying she believes the genre’s leading ladies could fill the arena.
Promoter CJ Milan, behind major U.S. Dancehall events, gave the idea a confident thumbs-up, saying “It will definitely happen.”
With Vybz Kartel, Bounty Killer, Alkaline and Masicka all commanding Barclays in recent years and female stars like Spice, Shenseea and Vanessa Bling making guest appearances, the arena has already become Dancehall’s playground.
