Legendary Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt says he is not concerned about his world records being broken, despite advances in shoe technology.

Bolt, a multiple world and Olympic record holder, acknowledged that the talent exists for someone to surpass his achievements. Speaking at a Puma press conference in Tokyo on Thursday, where he was carrying out ambassadorial duties for the brand ahead of the World Championships, he discussed the impact of new innovations in running shoes.

At the event, it was revealed that, with today’s shoe technology, Bolt’s iconic 9.58 second world record could have been 9.42 seconds. He also admitted that, had he continued competing with these advancements, he might have run even faster.
